ASE Sustainability Innovation Competition Invites High School Students to Develop Environmental Proposals

ASE Environmental Sustainability Foundation has partnered with National Chung Hsing University for many years, venturing deep into Taiwan’s wilderness to help conserve the endangered Chinese box turtle also known as Cuora Flavomarginata. Beyond protecting the ecosystems on the ground, the foundation is also actively cultivating sustainability awareness among the next generation.
This year, it has expanded its efforts by launching the 2nd Youth Sustainability Innovation Competition, encouraging high school students to develop and implement creative proposals for environmental sustainability.
The competition focuses on key issues aligned with the United Nations’ 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, including net-zero carbon emissions, biodiversity, and the circular economy. The ten teams advancing to the semi-finals will participate in a five-day camp, where they will be mentored by teachers and industry experts to develop innovative and practical sustainability projects.
Andrew Tang, ASE Vice Chairman stated, "Innovation requires time, persistence, and resilience. Don't be afraid of failure; it's part of the process. Inspire others in your own way."
The final round of the competition will be held in October. With the support of selected universities, the foundation will help further develop and bring the students’ innovative environmental sustainability ideas to life.
